Contains records of persons sentenced to be executed at the penitentiary. Not all sentences were carried out. Each record includes prisoner's name, serial number, county of conviction, date prisoner was received, recording register, register page number, name of person or persons the prisoner was convicted of murdering, and date of execution set by trial court. If applicable, record might include execution dates set by other courts, dates of stays of execution, institution granting stay of execution, date of granting of new trial, who granted new trial, date execution occurred, and time of execution.
